Five Facts – Fairywood Falls

So really this blog is for those who may be on the fence on Fairywood Falls!!  So, I wanted to post five facts about it that may or may not give you a reason to pick it up and give it a chance! So here they are, facts about Fairywood Falls that may grab you!

  • There are two point of view characters in the book, a husband and wife. And I’ve heard it through some people that readers do like tales about couples who aren’t in some sort of turmoil. Naomi and Garrett are truly in love with each other. And I’m hoping that leaps off the page that they truly would do anything for each other and will always be there for each other. And a kicker, they’re in their forties.
  • The Appalachia setting.  More exact, the hills of Eastern Kentucky without the stereotypes that you would often have when reading about the region. Living in eastern Kentucky myself and have spent a lot of time at the Breaks.  I draw very heavily on the beauty of the mountains as inspiration.
  • There is a fairy! It weighs heavy on the story obviously; it is a fantasy story set in the hills with a touch of mystery and horror. And goes in at least some detail on what fairy tears are and some Appalachia folklore.
  • Is there a bigfoot?  It’s one of the biggest questions in the story.  Not only does it explore the local legends of the wood booger, but in general it lays into what is out there in the hills watching you. Without spoiling it, is it a sasquatch or is it something plucked straight out of a fairytale?
  • Growler, the puppy. Is a big part of the story! Dogs in general play a big influence on the plot. Especially when it comes to the fairy.

Bonus fact…Since Fairywood Falls is one of the 300 titles entered into SPFBO! It is currently on sale for eBook!
