PossumFest! September 6th! I will have a lot of copies of Widows Ridge! Just in time for spooky season!
“The hills of Harlan County are full of majestic beauty, hidden mysteries, and haunting tales that Dustin and Jacob grew up hearing. Widows Ridge was one of those terrifying tales. Widows Ridge, a story of a long-forgotten holler and the mesmerizing spider-like woman preying on anyone who would be tempted to trespass.
Dustin is to be married, but not before these two lifelong friends embark on his last hooray hunting trip that causes them to cross a web of trails that are long forgotten. They quickly learned the fabled stories that haunted their youth weren’t stories. What should have been a night of bonding for two old friends becomes a nightmare as the Widow seeks her prey.”
Emily Meyer struggles every day with what she has become but had found a sort of peace with a pack of werewolves. A life of the unexpected, she has gained some control over the part of her that wants to run wild under the full moon.
A man from her past comes hounding after her, Hastings is now dealing with the same reality as her and wants answers. But Emily runs short of time when a distress call from home will force her to face her own nightmare. She must return to Appalachia to her ailing mother’s side and her vengeful best friend Ashley putting everyone at risk.
Broken Blood Moon picks up where Full Wolf Moon ends forcing Emily to return home with all her demons and a vengeful enemy following along.
Feather in a Gaslamp is now out! It’s on paperback, ebook and Kindle Unlimited!!!
I often get asked what is my favorite thing i’ve wrote….or what do I consider my best work…this is it. And for that very reason i’m also the most nervous about this release. It’s not a big genre like my Horror or Urban Fantasy where most of my other works fall.
I’ve loved steampunk for a very long time. Since my first dragon con I’ve loved the costumes and all the possibilities that come with ir!
So if you’re interested in something a little different! Give this a shot! I would greatly appreciate it!
As a youth Mia was pulled between two different ways of life and struggled to find a place to belong. She was met by violence and hatred by many until she met Logan. He pushed away the doubts and anger that plagued her.
Mia is hired to protect a young girl with connections to a wealthy family that will bring her closer to finding her missing husband. But when an invention comes into being, she will soon be pulled into a new extraordinary world, aboard the airship Ulysses.
With Logan no longer at her side, her issues begin to surface as she is pulled into a world of impossibility. Mia will cross paths with an old adversary, new alliances, gun slingers and an alluring man who may cause her to question her loyalties. Somewhere among them someone wants her and the young ward dead.
Still available for pre-order and it is also going to be on Kindle Unlimited!
Dad was different. And if you knew him, you understand why I am saying that. He moved to the beat of his own drum with a long list of varied interests. He was a hard worker, a good listener, and when needed, he was there to give you a good kick in the rear.
He was obsessed with Soccer from an early age when he spent time overseas in England. He always reminded us that he coached and had his referee license while there. If ever he didn’t show up when he said he might, there was a good chance once you got him on the phone it was because he’d gotten caught up in watching an Arsenal soccer match. His obsession went as far as when his grandson Wyatt played the game, he would complain about the height of the grass if it was too much for the kids to get a good strike on the ball. He truly loved the sport.
One thing we truly had together was hunting, camping, and the time we spent in Elk Lick. Even now I believe it was his favorite place anywhere and he was truly at peace in those mountains. Even as recent as a trip to the hospital it would come up if we were going to go and spend time in Elk Lick for one more hunt. Dad didn’t just have the beard to look the part, he was truly at home being out in the woods whether hunting, gathering herbs, fishing, or just being one with nature he was a mountain man.
Dad loved dogs, and there was rarely a time when he didn’t have a favorite of his own from Smokey, Tiny, and Bear, and we couldn’t leave out his poodles Blondie and Talon. Even when he came to my house, he would sneak our dog treats, and they all loved him. They always loved seeing him come even if he didn’t have a treat for them, they knew they were getting pets. Dogs always know when someone is a good person at heart. And Dad had a big heart.
Dad had his beliefs… Bigfoot and Aliens among a lot of other things, he loved his tails and a good cryptid conspiracy, and he got a kick out of it if someone didn’t believe. And he loved using a chainsaw, whether it was a simple task like cutting down trees or something more elaborate like making his art he was always up to something.
Most of all he was a dad, and though there may have been times we butted our heads for whatever reason, I always knew he had my back. He made me a better carpenter, hunter, and person. My biggest hope is that I can be half the father to Wyatt that you were to Joey, Lyle, and myself. You were supportive and loving and we made some of the best memories growing up and well into adulthood.
The hardest thing I’ve ever done is to say goodbye. The past month and a half have been rough but these past few days as fear has become reality have been the most heartbreaking. None of us know when we’re going to be called away, but we all thought we had more time with you.
You would have hated the fuss we’d made over you, but you didn’t realize the impact you had on others, especially those who loved you the most. I was proud to call you, my dad. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Love you old man.

It’s almost spooky season! My favorite time of the year!!! Let’s not forget also happening next month I will be revealing the cover to the 3rd Howling Moon book set to release next year!!!!
Because I realize I didn’t do an update for May and there is a good reason for it, I didn’t accomplish anything writing wise in May. I might have put a 1000 words to page during that month!
June, I ended up writing just over 8000 words so not even reaching my goal but t least it was a better than the previous month. Most of my words went into Pixie Bones…which is an urban fantasy/horror novel that leans into the weird. As I’m writing this project off an on, i realize I’m just letting it go as far out of ‘weird Appalachia’ as I can let it. Not sure when it’ll ever come out but it is my current main project.
Looking ahead to July….
If you don’t follow my Patreon you should….less than a cup of coffee a month and this coming month is a good month to start.
