I don’t do this often, but I wanted to take a moment to spotlight a review for Fairywood Falls. I wrote it back in 2022 and pretty much from the moment I finished the first draft I knew this would be my first release after Full Wolf Moon. I even knew I wanted it to be my first entry into SPFBO! It stuck with me so much while I was writing it that it wasn’t until I put it out that it actually hit me. People may not like this story. It doesn’t really fit into any neat little category. Which is why so often I like to call it Appalachia Horror/Fairy Tale/Fantasy, really any of those three categories.
I had several people contact me on tik tok who ended up loving it! At least one of those took to other places to spread the love and I am forever thankful. Author Ashley Greathouse’s review, gave me a bit of a confidence boost along the way as well!

The happy couple are more than ready to settle down in the rural parts of Kentucky, just outside of their hometown. However, they weren’t ready to uncover that the fairytales they heard growing up are more than real…
Review by Author Ashley Greathouse!
I am so thankful when I get a chance to interact with people who have enjoyed one of my books! And so happy when I know people have loved my books, or the characters in my books as much as I have!
I will say this, now that I know there is more of an audience out there, I will be pushing my other Appalachia Horror/Fairy Tale/Fantasy… In fact, my next release will be a novella with the same setting, more to the point, Harlan County Kentucky!! Where that old song may hit a little close to home for the characters in the story!!
