Here is a snippet from chapter two of Full Wolf Moon!!!
“Meara, quit feeding those damn strays!” she heard the harsh male voice yell out just as the back door of Rosie’s opened. Emily saw the young woman with her blonde hair step out just before she dropped out of sight behind the rusted structure.
“Bite me. I heard them out here, and I’m going to feed them!” the young woman shouted back. Emily could hear the laughter in the young woman’s voice. She could hear the grumbling coming from the inside as a response to her childish retort.
It was only a moment before the cats appeared, one, then two, up to six of them scrambling past Emily to the door. The seventh and final, a young calico, stopped and meowed when their eyes met. Emily could see the hairs on the cat’s mane stand at attention. And then the loud hiss, so vigorous it was hard to imagine it escaping such a small body as it bounced several steps backward from Emily.

So I had not been advertising this until I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. And really that I knew I was going to push myself to pursue my writing more seriously. But here it is…. For those who may be interested.

So over the next two months I’ll be posting snippets here from the upcoming second novel in the Howling Moon series!!! And here is the first one from chapter one of the upcoming book!
She saw the disgusted look on the cashier’s face as she took her money, careful not to let their skin make contact. It wasn’t directed at the two men either. Emily focused, seeing her distorted reflection in the glass. It looked so different from her tangled shoulder-length hair. The cashier returned the money, careful not to touch her still. The young woman sneered, not even trying in her swift motion dropping the money into Emily’s palm. Emily’s anger grew. She felt the wolf deep down in her stomach. It was dark now, it was sudden, and the wolf had more control when the sun was down. It didn’t matter what cycle the moon was in; the wolf always wanted out when it was dark.
His hands were cold on her waist. “I bet you clean up real nice.” She felt the first man’s hot breath on the back of her neck. She pushed forcefully off the counter, turning, landing on top of him with enlarged canines, just missing the softness of his exposed neck as her jaws snapped fiercely. Emily felt the wolf’s anger. It matched her own at the unwelcome touch of a stranger. The look he gave her was like he was doing her a favor by touching her. She could smell the blood pulsating through his veins, and she wanted to rip his throat open.
“What the fuck?” the other man questioned, quickly moving away, falling over a display of chips, scattering debris all around the store in a loud exchange of events.
Emily could smell the man under her. He had soiled himself. She smiled, wanting to laugh, but all that came was a huff of breath as she snarled. She felt her lip quiver under the presence of her extended canines. Her heart raced. She was enjoying the fear she put into the men who thought they were so much better than her.
“John… her teeth….” The couple from the bathroom was on the other side of her, having rushed to check out the commotion. She could smell their fear and hear their hearts race. The guy even stopped breathing at the sight of her. The brute of a man who was so threatening to her a moment earlier was a heartbeat from running, and she wanted him to. The wolf wanted him to as well so she could chase him down. But she couldn’t let that happen no matter how badly she wanted to hurt the man. She knew if she let the wolf out here and now, she would be the only person to leave the gas station alive.

Full Wolf Moon is with the editor and I’m expecting it back in the next couple weeks. Once I have it back in my possession I’ll go over the edits, and hopefully be done with them swiftly and then starting the design of the interiors of the book! Once I’m more than certain I am going to hit my planned release date I am going to debut a preorder link for the ebook and the cover for all to see!! I can’t wait for all of you to see the cover!! I think it’s amazing!!!
In the mean time I’m working on my next project after Full Wolf Moon. I’m hoping to have it ready for betas by mid November… It’s a stand alone novella featuring a Fairy, an Ogre, and modern times Eastern Kentucky…. I wrote it early this year and fell in love with the project, recently did a listen through of it and though it needs work. I’ll be editing it once Full Wolf Moon is in the design process.
Kindle Vella/Patreon I’m still in the process of getting stuff out on these two platforms. You can expect more news and progress on them the moment Full Wolf Moon is in the design phase. In fact I’m curious to see where peoples interest is on those two platforms so you can expect another blog post just bout them in the coming days.
So a couple months back there was a tik tok thread going around that I contributed a snippet from Howling Moon 1 too and it has come around once again. This time the snippet is from Howling Moon book 2, Full Wolf Moon. It sounds so amazing and I’m so appreciative to Paige Reisenfeld (paigevoice on tiktok). It sounds so good, and I’m just in awe at how awesome it sounds!! Check it out below!
So a much over due update…. The reveal of the title for Howling Moon 2! A lot of people who came and saw me at Pikeville Comic Con got to see not only the title but the cover. Same goes for anyone who may follow my Patreon. So here it is, the next book in the Howling Moon series title!
