January 2023

So 2023 has started and it so far has been quite a bit on the rough side. I didn’t get quite a lot of my goals for the first month done. I did end up writing over 10k, but only edited about half of the chapters I had wanted to get through. But as they say, any progress is better than no progress. I did end up working quite a bit on the 3rd Howling Moon book and the Dwarf fantasy book I have planned to release in the not so near future.

But here is hoping that February is better, even though I’m posting this already half way through the month and it’s not looking all that great on my progress report.

But still, it’s a good time to say you should go check out my tiktok! I’ve posted a lot about Fairywood Falls over there and I promise to start making some blog posts just about the project next week!!

Be sure to preorder now!!

Tribute to my Grandmother

I’ve tried to sit down and write this a few times this past week but every time I did, I just couldn’t seem to find the words. They were there I just didn’t think I could express just how much this week has taken out of me. Me sweet grandmother, passed this past week. Eula Boyd, August 24 1939 – January 14, 2023. My grandmother was a saint. She spent most of her life taking care of others. Not just family, but anyone who may have needed help, she wouldn’t hesitate to help them no matter the cost to herself. She was truly one of the best people you could ever meet. I grew up next door to her, I know a lot of people don’t get that experience of living next to their grandparents. She was always there ready for breakfast or anything you could have ever asked for. She was caring, and as my son would call her, that sweet old lady, an amazing cook and above all else, my granny. She will be deeply missed.

Last update of 2022

Last update of the year!

Between the holidays and being sick for over a week my last push to get all those chapters edited before New Year fell short. I did manage to get through the last couple chapters of Fairywood Falls and get it off to beta readers before the end of the year. that alone was a big plus for me!!!! Remember if you’re not one of my betas….I am posting chapters of it up to my Patreon!

Bad news….  I lost some chapters of one of my projects. I guess I never pushed save when I converted it from the dictation file to my laptop and I lost them.  Sucks too. But I went back today and made notes that will help me rewrite those chapters so I can get back on the groove.

I am going to work on a couple more things before years end. My short story ‘Teeth’ and first chapter of Predator’s Moon. If  can get them somewhere close to complete I’ll be happy.

You can expect an update on the 1st!!! A year in Review!

See you in the new year!!

Thank You!

I’m tired. Exhausted even and I’m sitting here trying to decide what is next. Most of all I’m thankful. I wanted to take a moment and send out a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been so supportive. Those who gave me words of encouragement, those who picked up the new book. And most of all I truly hope you enjoy Full Wolf Moon!

Also want to send an additional thank you to everyone who follows this blog! I think I’ve gotten better over the years at keeping it up to date and more so, this is my 200th post on the blog!!

Full Wolf Moon Snippet (Chapter 5)

A snippet from the 5th chapter of Full Wolf Moon!!!

Emily knew the taste in her mouth. Her eyes were blurry and dry. She had been crying for hours in her sleep. Every muscle in her body ached, rolling over onto her back, but her right arm immediately ceased to move as the chain halted her progress. She glanced at her wrist; it was red. The scratches were evident where the other had fought hard against the cuff the night before. She sat up, entering the combination on the lock as it fell from her wrist. She looked to her ankle at a similar bracelet and chain; she quickly removed the lock. After both were free, she lay back on her back to the cold concrete, but it didn’t seem to bother her as she stretched out. She had lain quietly for thirty minutes when the alarm on her phone across the room began to chime, startling her from her rest. She rolled over, sat up on her knees, looking at the floor. She could only smile at the deep scratches on the concrete floor as she thought about how hard the other part of her fought against the bindings, wanting a taste of freedom. Something she knew she could not let the wolf have, not until she had more control. She was conscious during it all, but it felt like a dream.

Full Wolf Moon Snippet (chapter 4)

Hey, hey! It’s release week!! And i’m going to try an post a snippet from a few chapters up until release day, the 9th!! Well, snippets without revealing much spoilers that is. So here is a snippet from chapter 4!!

“Just go, sleep it off.” Emily felt Allison’s hand grab her own tightly. Another feeling took control, her stomach churned as the man took a step forward. Emily put a handout in front of her, and the man slapped it away with a laugh.

“You can’t stop me,” he said with a thunderous laugh.

She could. Just not with others around, and she wanted too very badly. “Just don’t.” He took a couple of steps forward and close enough now, closer than she wished.

“What are you going to do, little girl?” he said.

Emily growled. It was a loud, intense sound, and everyone heard it.

The man only chuckled. “Amusing little trick. Is this the bitch you’ve been seeing, Allie? Have you gone full dyke on me? God will judge you both for your sins.”

He went to smack Emily, but she stopped his progress with her hand, he was nearly twice her size, and he had gone to hit her hard, but still, she had no problem stopping him. Emily forcefully lifted her knee into the man’s stomach, knocking him backward to the ground.

The man was quickly back on his feet, looking at Emily. She could see the anger on his face. Flushed with embarrassment, Emily took a few steps backward, pushing Allison away and to the floor in the process. Her stomach seized; she could feel the spasms. The wolf wanted out. The wolf wanted to take care of this man.
